This math puzzle wasn’t so puzzling. What went wrong?

  1. First, the teacher introduced math pyramid puzzles to the class, next, students enjoyed them at first, then they quickly lost interest, and finally, the teacher invites students to work on the puzzle to understand the problem better.
  2. First, students will add numbers like three plus five to get eight, next they will solve equations like five equals one plus four, then they will work with more complex problems using two-digit and one-digit numbers, and finally, they will explore different solutions while comparing their thinking to simpler tasks.
  3. First, students will identify the largest and smallest values from given numbers, next they will reflect on the uncertainty of their answers, then they will explore different levels of mathematical thinking, and finally, they will learn to recognize valuable math problems to engage with.
