Summary
A favorite of mine! This task is delightfully complex and ambiguous, forcing students to make choices without enough information and with no right answer. How will they survive on the moon for three days?
- First, students decide which items are essential, helpful, and useless.
- Then, they decide how they could _actually use_ their "useless" items.
- Finally, they can create a story (published however you'd like) about how they used the items to survive for three days on the moon.

"I absolutely LOVE all of the ideas on your site. I am using Byrdseed TV to differentiate activities for my clustered students to work on when the rest of the class is doing something they've already mastered." ~ Wendy in Washington
"I just subscribed to Byrdseed.TV and am loving it -- though it is kind of scary addictive in a binge-watching kind of way (that, by the way, is a compliment)." ~ Elizabeth from Florida
